Thanks to AudioFile Magazine and Jessie Grearson for interviewing me for the February-March issue of AudioFile Magazine. I love narrating audiobooks and getting to talk about what makes them special to me was a treat. Check out the interview here!

Thank you to AudioFile Magazine for recognizing these two fantastic books. It was a delight to get to narrate something close to my heart and stomach and I hope people are able to discover something they didn't know about French culture and food by listening! ![]() "Whether he's delivering the history of Roquefort cheese, the science behind bread-making, or the transformation of haute cuisine over time, Halstead's warm tones and alluring French accent evoke the wealth of details and surprises in these stories of food and its producers and chefs. Halstead conveys how deeply the French foods and wines he discusses are entrenched in each region's setting and history, making for a delectable and illuminating listening experience." -- AudioFile Magazine Check out the full review here! ![]() "Narrator Graham Halstead gives a top-notch performance of this entertaining and comprehensive commentary on the cultural, social, and political quirks of the French. Halstead's dry delivery and subtle intonation deftly infuse a delicate balance of irony and seriousness into a myriad of observations...[his] authentic French accent sprinkles cheekiness into the section titled "How to be French" and playfully conveys the sexy translations of English film titles and the discussion of how the French love of food permeates their verbal expressions. The nuances of French idiosyncrasies sparkle in this lively listening experience." -- AudioFile Magazine Check out the full review here! ![]() "Listening to professional narrator Graham Halstead's smooth, silky voiced reading is as enjoyable as tasting a perfect wine paired with masterfully prepared dish, each bringing out the best in each. His French is perfect and pleasant to listen to; most is translated for those who are not familiar with French...The listening experience made me think now and then of the 1981 film My dinner with Andre. Fun, informative listen." - - The Food and Wine of France, Editor's Pick, reviewed by Sound Commentary A very kind review from Jean Palmer at Sound Commentary for a delicious book. My mouth was watering at every page. If you've ever been interested in French food and wine, this is the audiobook for you! Bon Appetit! Thank you Audiofile Magazine for the great review of "A Study in Charlotte" by Brittany Cavallaro!
"Narrator Graham Halstead deftly meets the challenge of re-creating the meeting of Charlotte Holmes and Jamie Watson, the great-great-great-grandchildren of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. This first of a trilogy is told from the perspective of Jamie. It takes murder to bring the two together when they are accused of killing a classmate. Halstead skillfully captures the intelligent, aloof Holmes and the more appealing but uncertain Watson. Listeners will enjoy hearing references to several actual Holmes stories as the 21st-century Holmes and Watson sift through clues, looking for the murderer." ![]() I voiced the role of Locke aka Master Thief Keys in "Unlocking Some Respect", Episode 18 in Season 19 of Pokemon XY&Z. It was an exciting episode with a fire at the Pokemon Center, Team Rocket blasting off again, and I even had a scene with Pikachu! I've loved this show since I was a kid watching it every day after school and I am so glad I was able to play a small part in its history. Check out the episode below and GO catch em all! I'm looking forward to being a part of this panel in Orlando, FL. along with some really talented and successful actors. Amanda Leigh Cobb and Jim Frangione.
Check out this link for a little Q&A with audiobook producer Recorded Books and if you're in Orlando this weekend, stop by ALA and say hi! http://www.recordedbooks.com/Resources/Blog/June-2016/Graham-Halstead-is-the-voice-of TURN: Washington's Spies Episode 7! In which I make my illustrious return as the Scottish Ranger. In this episode we find out he's named Fitch; he can ride a horse; and shoot a musket... And I hear there's a war on! Check it out this coming Monday! ![]() I made it! It was brief but it was there!
![]() I'm very excited (read: nervous... what if they cut my scene??) for my first cameo on a tv show. TURN: Washington's Spies airs tonight at 10pm EST on AMC (the same channel as Breaking Bad!?!) It'll be the world's shortest cameo I'm sure, but I appear again in episode 307 so I like to think this is my big introduction. I play a Scottish Ranger who we later find out is named Ranger Fitch. I may not be one of Washington's spies, but I think you'll be just as excited as I am to see how things TURN out! Har Har.
